Special election to the fill the vacancy due to the resignation of DFL Representative Linda J. Scheid on January 1, 1992 to become Vice President for Community Affairs with Burnet Realty. Krambeer was an attorney from Brooklyn Park. Luther was a business consultant from Brooklyn Park and wife of former DFL state Representative (HD 45B, 1975-1977) and sitting state Senator (SD 45, 1977-1983; SD 47, 1983-1995) Bill Luther.
