Nichols a resident of Woodbury, former DFL state Senator (SD 20, 1977-1981), Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture (1982-1990), and DFL nominee for the 2nd CD in 1982.
Schenk was a farmer from Jeffers and Lyndon LaRouche adherent.
