Hansen became the sixth Treasurer to lose their seat at the ballot box, joining Anti-Monopolist Edwin Van Dyke in 1875, appointed Republican Edward Stark in 1926 (primary), Republican Julius Schmahl in 1936, Farmer-Laborite C.A. Halverson in 1938, and DFLer Arthur Hansen in 1956 (primary).
McGrath was a business consultant from Bloomington and party-endorsed candidate.
Considine was a marketing sales representative from Mankato, nominee for the 2nd CD in 1978, and nominee for HD 29A in 1980 and 1982.
