Auditor King was reelected to a record 10th and final term. King resigned mid-term on March 6, 1969. He was succeeded by former state Representative William J. (Bill) O'Brien (HD 45, 1963-1967).
Hansen was an owner of an insurance agency in South St. Paul and former national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (1961-1962).
