Anderson was a resident of St. Paul. He was a Socialist nominee for the 8th CD in 1916 and Farmer-Labor candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1924.
Williams was a resident of St. Paul and executive national organizer of the Farmer-Labor Political Federation. He was also a Farmer-Labor U.S. House nominee for the 4th CD in 1928, 1936, and 1938, a candidate for an at-large seat in 1932, and the Farmer-Labor nominee for Lieutenant Governor in 1940.
