Anderson was a resident of Brainerd, former chairman of the Crow Wing County Young Republican League, and owner and president of a newspaper and magazine wholesaling business. At 26, Anderson was the youngest person to serve as Lieutenant Governor in Minnesota history.

Kinzer was a farmer from Cold Spring and state Representative (HD 46, 1935-1939, 1941-1963; HD 26, 1963-1965).

Lang was a resident of Alexandria, owner of a wholesale seed and feed business, and Democratic nominee for Treasurer in 1936.
