This was the 10th consecutive Republican victory for the office of Treasurer.
Koerner was a resident of Litchfield, former Meeker County Register of Deeds (1878-1884), former Litchfield Postmaster (1891-1892), and sitting state Representative (HD 39, 1893-1895).
Lambert was a resident of Young America.
Borchert was a farmer from Bird Island and sitting state Senator (SD 42, 1891-1895). Borchert was nominated at the state convention with 717 votes compared to 47 votes for H.C. Bull of Wright County and six votes for Robert Glover of Waseca County.
Hampson ran a lumber yard and machinery business in Ada and the Prohibition nominee for the 7th CD in 1892.
