Lieutenant Governor Rice was reelected to a second term.

Buck was an attorney from Mankato, Democratic nominee for Secretary of State in 1861, former state Representative (HD 17, 1866-1867), state Senator (SD 14, 1879-1883), and future Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justice (1893-1899).

Reimstad was a professor from Minneapolis and Prohibition U.S. House nominee for the 5th CD in 1894.

Pond was a resident of Faribault.
