Freeborn County
Freeborn County is located in South Central Minnesota along the Iowa border and was established on February 20, 1855 by the Territorial Legislature. Freeborn County is named after Democratic Territorial Councilman (4th District, 1853-1857) William Freeborn. Albert Lea is the county seat.
