Benton County
Benton County is located in central Minnesota and was established on October 27, 1849 by the Territorial Legislature. It was one of the nine original counties of Minnesota and one of the first three to be organized. It was named after Missouri Democratic U.S. Senator Thomas Hart Benton. Foley is the county seat.
