Notes: | Dobbs was a former labor leader in Minneapolis who led the 1934 Teamsters Strike - the bloodiest strike in the history of Minneapolis in which four people were killed and dozens injured. Dobbs moved to New York in 1940 to become a national organizer for the Teamsters and was convicted under the ant-sedition Smith Act for opposing U.S. intervention in World War II and served 13 months in federal prison. |
