Notes: Godfrey was the grandson of Ard Godfrey, the first pioneer settler to build a cabin in what is now Minneapolis. Godfrey moved to Colorado in 1898 and worked in newspapers eventually becoming the editor of the Yampa Leader and Oak Creek Times. Godrey was appointed U.S. Postmaster at Yampa on November 5, 1909.
